Frequently Asked Questions

What is the weather policy?

Rain Check! We live in Maryland, so the weather can change at any moment. In the case of inclement weather, your picnic can either be moved inside your home or you may reschedule (one time) for another available date. If it happens to rain on your second date of choice and you do not choose to move your picnic inside, you will be charged a 25% booking fee to reschedule to a third date. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. Please notify us at least 24 hours before your event if you need to reschedule.

Are food and drinks included?

Sparkling water and a petite dessert for each guest are included with your picnic. Although we do not provide other food or alcohol, we highly suggest that you bring it! Always confirm that your chosen location allows alcohol on the premises (most public beaches and parks do not). Social Settings is not responsible for any alcohol consumption or penalties incurred.

What if we decide we'd like to stay longer?

If you're enjoying yourself and would like to extend beyond 3 hours, simply text the number from your "day of confirmation" to request an extension. If scheduling allows, we are happy to extend your time for $30 every half hour. If you already know you'd like a longer party upon booking, please let us know so we do not book another picnic immediately after yours!

What if we want to leave early?

If you need to leave your picnic early, please notify us by phone or text 20 minutes prior to your ideal departure to allow our team adequate time to return to assure the picnic isn't left unattended. You are responsible for your picnic rental until our team has returned.

Where do picnics take place?

We have a few previously scouted picnic spots that we can suggest! Otherwise you're welcome to picnic in your backyard or another spot of your choosing. If you have a particular winery/venue/ other location in mind, we can reach out to them to make sure we're welcome to set up there. We can even picnic inside your home if you'd like!

Do you travel?

We are currently booking parties within 20 miles of Annapolis 21409. If you are interested in booking our services outside of that radius, please email us at hello@socialsettingsevents.com.

How does payment work?

A non-refundable $100 deposit is due online at the time of booking in order to reserve your date and time. We will email an invoice for the remainder of payment and any enhancements that you wish to add on, due one week before your event.
